Answers, organized by topic

These answers are informational and do not replace professional medical advice. If you have a medical concern, consult a qualified healthcare professional before booking.

Booking and deposits

The consult is designed to set clear expectations: artist fit, scope, a realistic price range in CAD, and a session plan.

Booking
How do I request a consultation?
Use the form on the Contact page. Include placement, approximate size, style direction, and any timing constraints. We reply within 1 business day with next steps.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Most projects are scheduled after a consultation. Occasionally we may have short-notice availability, but the best way to check is to contact the studio.
Why is a deposit required?
A deposit reserves the appointment slot and covers preparation time. It is applied to the final cost for the booked project. The exact amount and payment method are confirmed during scheduling.
How far out are you typically booked?
A common planning range is 1 to 4 weeks, depending on the artist and the project scope. We will confirm realistic options based on your availability.

What helps us quote accurately

The more specific the brief, the clearer the plan.

  • Placement and approximate size (in cm or relative to a body area).
  • Style direction (fine line, blackwork, illustrative, script).
  • Complexity notes (dense shading, multiple elements, cover-up context).
  • Timing preferences and schedule constraints.

A note on outcomes

We do not promise guaranteed results. Tattoos age and heal differently depending on skin, placement, and aftercare. Our job is skilled execution, safe setup, and honest guidance.

Preparation and the day of

Comfort and communication matter. A little preparation can make the session smoother.

Prep
What should I do before my appointment?
Arrive rested and fed, hydrated, and wearing comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the tattoo area. Follow any artist-specific notes you receive during scheduling.
Can I bring a friend?
Space is designed for calm, focused sessions. If you want to bring someone for support, ask in advance and we will confirm what is feasible for that day.
Can I change the design on the day of the appointment?
Small adjustments are often possible. Larger changes may require rescheduling so we can redesign properly. We will always confirm placement and stencil approval before tattooing.
Does it hurt?
Sensation varies by placement, session length, and personal tolerance. We keep pacing calm and breaks are welcome. If you have concerns, mention them in your consult request.
Do you tattoo minors?
No. You must be at least 18 years old with valid government-issued ID.

Aftercare and healing

Healing is part of the process. We provide aftercare guidance for every tattoo, tailored to the piece.

Aftercare
How long does healing take?
Surface healing is often within a few weeks, but full settling can take longer. Exact timelines vary by person, placement, and aftercare.
What if my tattoo looks patchy while healing?
Early healing can look uneven due to peeling, dryness, or the top layer settling. If anything concerns you, contact us with a clear description and we will advise next steps.
Can I work out after a tattoo?
You may need to modify activity depending on placement and friction. Sweating and rubbing can irritate fresh tattoos. Follow the aftercare guidance provided on the day of your appointment.
When can I swim or use a sauna?
Avoid soaking a fresh tattoo. Swimming, hot tubs, and saunas can increase irritation and infection risk during healing. We will provide timing guidance based on your piece and healing progress.
Do you offer touch-ups?
We can assess your piece once it is fully healed. Touch-up availability and any fees depend on the project and the condition of the tattoo. Healing results vary, and we will discuss options honestly.

Pricing and payments

We keep pricing clear and avoid misleading claims. Final cost depends on scope, placement, and time.

Pricing
What is your minimum?
A typical minimum for custom tattoo work is $150 CAD. Your consult will confirm an estimate range based on the design and placement.
Do you charge by the hour or by the piece?
It depends on the project. Some tattoos are priced per piece, while others are scoped by session time. We will explain the approach during the consult so there are no surprises.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment method options are confirmed during scheduling. If you have a preference, mention it in your consult request and we will confirm what is available.
Can you give an exact quote before the consultation?
We can often provide a realistic range in CAD from your description, but an exact quote typically requires confirming sizing, placement, and detail level.

Policies and safety

We operate with a hygiene-first workflow and straightforward communication.

Policies
How do you keep the studio sterile?
We use single-use needles and disposables where applicable, disinfect surfaces between clients, and use barrier protection on equipment. Aftercare guidance is provided for each tattoo.
Do you do cover-ups?
Cover-ups can be possible depending on the existing tattoo, ink density, and the new design direction. Include the location, size, and what you want to change when you request a consultation.
Do you share my contact details with anyone?
We use your information to respond to your request and manage scheduling. For details on data handling, cookie categories, and your rights, read our Privacy Policy.
Are you a medical provider?
No. We provide tattoo services. If you have a medical question, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
